The only amusing thing about this terrible TV sci-fi comedy (Fred Willard as King Kroger) is that the design of the ship the two morons from outer space arrive in is apparently based on the 1948 Chiles-Whitted UFO encounter case, covered in co-director Robert Emenegger's musty mass paperback UFOs: Past, Present, and Future.

14 Going on 30 1988
14 Going on 30 is an easy-to-like "only in the '80s" made-for-TV sci-fi flick that feels like the result of replacing the Zoltar machine from the same year's Big with River Phoenix's Explorers character.
Also, like 1989's Renegades, it's another movie featuring Bryan Adams' feel-good tune "Only the Strong Survive" that predates Problem Child 2 (1991).

I would say that Hack-O-Lantern is exactly what I needed after straying from the '80s path for 30 days. This flick did the trick; it's a fun little '80s treat.
