The Outfit 2022
Pleasantly surprised with this one. I had zero expectation, but The Outfit managed to keep my interest. It was mainly the performance by Mark Rylance who stole the movie and was the perfect casting choice. I personally think this movie has a lof of issues and sometimes the characters feels dumb and not realistic at all, but it was entertaining and I felt like it was made with passion.

The Northman 2022
A masterpiece! From the first 5 minutes I knew this would be an Epic. Robert Eggers is one of if not my favorite director working today. The Witch and The Lighthouse are two of my favorite movies ever and I'm happy to say that The Northman is continuing the perfect strike that this director is making. This movie is a brutal, visceral and intense revenge story with great acting and a savage soundtrack. Personally, the cinematography was perfect and some…

We're All Going to the World's Fair 2021
Pretty neat little indie movie! It's weird and well acted, but some scenes dragged for too long. The overall plot is good and it's one of the rare movies to know about the concept of the online world without being cringy. Not the greatest film for a re-watch, but it was still a cool experience.

Supermarket Woman 1996
The kind of movie I could watch every year. For real, it's on par with Tampopo, both are total masterpiece. 2 hours of supermarket drama that felt light and wholesome and put a smile on my face. Great acting and I really loved the cinematography, the colors were vibrant. Juzo itami made movies with so much passion and intensity, he was one of the great! Come on Criterion, give us a physical edition just like Tampopo.

Gargoyles: The Heroes Awaken 1995
This is a straight to DVD edit of the first five episodes of this show. Instead, I watched the entirety of these episodes. When I was younger, I never had the chance to watch this show, but I can say that it is pretty good for now. The characters are interesting and the plot feels consistent. I really like the animation, the 90's style is nostalgic. The voice acting sounds great, so I'll continue this series and I'll update my review once finished.

Memory 2022
An uninspired thriller movie that had some of the worst pacing of the year so far. I actually can't remember half of this movie, because everything felt so boring. There was no suspense, I didn't care about anyone. It feels like a paycheck movie and no one gave a remotely good performance. The kind of movie that I'll erase from my memory... a bit just like the main character.... *ba dum tss*

L.A. Confidential 1997
Recently, I've started playing a new game of L.a Noire and wow this movie feels like I'm still playing a session. One of my favorite things was the pacing, it felt so consistent. The acting was great and the jazz soundtrack added to the atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised since I wasn't expecting anything great, but it surely was !

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 2022
Well this was a pleasant surprise! I really love the elements of horror thanks to the great director Sam Raimi. The comedy aspect is well balanced and more grounded, and it felt more of a mature superhero movie. As always, Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen were perfect in their roles, and even the side characters shined. The scenario felt a bit basic, but the visuals were sometimes amazing. I didn't expect anything, but this director never disappoints.
