enjoyable, off in places. what's with the ladies and gentlemen, gays and theys? AJ was great, of course. she can elevate any cliche film.

a fascinating look into the life of a young woman with a spectacular voice and her early rise to fame. she speaks from the heart. she doesn't buy in to the nonsense of the music industry. she and her talented brother write songs and record them in their home. their parents are nurturing. she deals with Turrets and despair. she doesn't try to make light of anything. she speaks from a dark place that is particularly resonant with her young fans. when i grow up, i want to be Billie Eilish. i hope she can stay strong in the fame whirlwind and avoid its toxicity.
