SOOOOOO GOOD!!
It's hard to explain how good this was. But I was truly riveted throughout. Superbly written, acted, and filmed. Equally funny, sad, and touching.
An unbeatable viewing experience
I did not expect the level of depth and beauty this film brought forth. The trailer mostly highlighted Momoa acting silly, which doesn't do the film justice. It was a bittersweet, emotional film about the loss of a parent and the lasting scars of childhood - told through dreams. I did not get that at all from the trailer and was therefore happily surprised when I watched it.
Beautiful set design, lighting, and cinematography, excellent acting. But some things made little sense - SPOILER - why would the woman pretending to be a ghost come up to the man and not just float in and out, eg, but loved the ending and the lead up to it.
