    Woman in the Dunes

The cinematography in Woman in the Dunes will hypnotize you. That's for sure!

It captures the arid and claustrophobic atmosphere perfectly and the absence of color made the scenery look even dryer and hostile than it already was.
Yet, it's still quite beautiful. In fact, one of the most beautiful black & white cinematography I've seen. The astonishing close ups and long takes captured the beauty in all this dead and dusty nothingness.
It seems like that the sand flows like…

    The Shining

The Shining is an absolute masterpiece.

From the phenomenal score, over the mesmerising camera work to Nicholson’s overacting.
Stanley Kubrick manages to create such an eerie and unsettling atmosphere. No other (horror) movie ever achieved such a strong feeling of tautness.
Even though the legendary actor Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall are starring in one of the greatest achievements in cinema history, the main lead plays the hotel. Those long never ending corridors, the deserted halls, the intimidating majesty of…

    Nothing but worry and work..

Boring/too lengthy in places, but despite the enormous running time, fascinating to the end.
Bela Tarr manages to stage the dreariness and hopelessness with a special beauty.

I can't breathe. This is some heavy shit! Guilt, innocence, friendship and trust are some themes which are being discussed here. This is the first and probably last time I'll see this film.

I don't think we have to talk about the performances, cinematography or writing of The Hunt. 'Cause it's fucking PERFECT ! FLAWLESS ! *insert random superlative here*
What really bothers me is the question: How would I have reacted? For the viewers it's quite simple. You saw…

    Blade Runner

I'm sorry that I misjudged you the last few times Blade Runner. On my fourth watch I finally realised what a masterpiece you are.
An afterwards often copied, profound look on what it means to be human. A soundtrack out of this world. And the perfect and best definition of cyberpunk, even by today's standards.
I'm looking forward to visit that dirty, neon drenched hell hole of a city again next month.
    See you in 2049.
