    Day 16: Let it Snow

The Coen Brothers never disappoint. Most of their movies deserve ALL of the awards, and 'Fargo' is no exception. This movie was an instant classic, and upon viewing it you can see why. It's got a magnificent script, and a rogues gallery of top-notch thespian talent (such as Frances McDormand, Steve Buscemi, and William H. Macy). If you haven't seen this film yet, trust me, you need to put it on your watchlist.…

    Christmas Bloody Christmas

    ★★½

'Christmas Bloody Christmas' is an impressive indie Christmas slasher, that can best be described as 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' meets 'The Terminator'. A toy store's robotic Santa Claus (which was built using military technology for some odd reason that is never disclosed to the viewer) malfunctions, targets a group of teenagers, and goes on a very satisfying killing spree. "Santa Claus is coming to town."

Wow, now that was a unique Santa story. 'Violent Night' is basically what you get if you mix Die Hard with Home Alone, and throw in David Harbour as a badass, grizzled, alcoholic Saint Nick. It's just as awesome as you imagine, possibly even more so. This movie is action packed and bloody, and is chock-full of dark humor. Definitely not one to watch with the kids, but is great for a holiday season date night. I really enjoyed this film. The Nerd Cave recommends.

    Black Adam

    ★★

This is less a 'Black Adam' movie than it is a "Justice Society" movie that happens to include Black Adam. I was looking forward to this, and had high expectations, all of which were let down. Let's hope James Gunn can save DC, because The Rock sure hasn't. The Nerd Cave doesn't recommend.
