    This is still one of my top films of 2022. At the time of writing this it is tied with EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE.

    This is my third watch, and what I love about this film is every time I watch it I feel vindicated in my 5 star rating. Every single time I see it I spot something new, another detail, another layer.

    This film goes well above and beyond just being a film about porn and gore.

    This is apparently about the encroachment on Wales by the English, and their abuses of that land.

    You can be forgiven for missing that point by the victims in this movie being Welsh, and the perpetrator being Welsh…

    Also, the reason for the families death is very blink and you’ll miss it.

    I am all for “eat the rich” narratives but this one really doesn’t deliver as much as I’d hoped.
