Me from January-June 2018 "CAN THIS FUCKING MOVIE COME OUT ALREADY?"
Me 1 hour into it "Oh my god I am such a baby why do I torture myself like this"
Hereditary does what I appreciate most about good horror exceptionally well: pairs domestic and grounded neuroses with visceral and spooky dread and anxiety.
I really want to see it a second time ASAP because it's so densely layered and almost overstuffed with mythos (particularly at the end), that I'm almost skeptical whether it will hold up as well on repeat viewings.
