Straight up consistently funny.
Let's have a sequel.
I kind wish the film was the story they told in the first 30 minutes stretched over 2 hours but I guess a true existential crisis about mortality wouldn't be fitting for a commercial kids film.
It's airy and charming at times but it does become a case of diminishing returns from such a strong, interesting first act.
Really disappointed by this. A film that, ironically, really doesn’t seem to go anywhere whatsoever. Pretty much empty of emotion too. Such a very ‘blah’ experience. I swear that one of the main characters had zero thought spent on them, in terms of characterisation or arc. They’re practically just a MacGuffin with no personality.
The most stylish (for the better) Batman we’ve ever had. It’s by far my favourite live-action depiction of the character. It’s tone, atmosphere, mood is just spot on.
Story wise, there’s issues but I think it can be a bit if a grower in that area on rewatch.
