Patlabor: The Movie 1989
I was a little lost most of the time, just a little bit. Like maybe this was the movie version of an anime series and details were cut for time? Even so, the animation is an amazing example of what 80s anime has to offer, and with pretty great music too.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within 2001
This is a pretty normal movie that's maybe not great, but also there's enough star power in the casting that we can bump it up from a plain 3 stars.
