The Nightmare Before Christmas 1993
Beautiful but it's funny it's a Disney movie 'cause they do the 90's Disney sappy ending beats in a film about fucking around and finding out. Jack hyperfixates, commits crimes, destroys a religion and then fucks off like it never happened. Santa racially profiles him and fixes everything in a montage. Sally and Jack have puppy dog eyes and it ends. An isolated act of mischief.
Also weird how often this is treated like a Christmas movie first, Halloween second…

Like a B-tier theatre kid: Feigns sincerity and passion so you accept the parts of it that are attention-seeking, psychotic and just downright annoying. Collosus is the closest thing resembling a good character and even he succumbs to a 'forgiving human traffickers is good actually' speech at the end.
