    I think maybe the most ridiculous thing that's ever happened in a Bond film is that bald Russian intelligence guy helicopters in at the last minute, watches as Bond tosses his prize over a cliff - then laughs with Bond at how silly the whole spy game is! And strolls back to his chopper.

    Or... is it ending with Margaret Thatcher, in her kitchen wearing an apron, with imbecile husband, too idiotic to realize she's talking to a parrot?

    Actually loved that line. I have little problem with Moonraker's silliness, but you do simply get plain bored at watching the SEVENTH attempt to kill Bond lazily fall flat, him smugly, cheekily strolling away - that centrifuge moment was a great way to start things off, but 75 minutes later damned if I had any idea "Chang" existed (Chinese name for a Japanese character).     At some point the adults in the room will realize they can't keep peddling Hammond's insane dream as something virtuous (Crichton didn't romanticize the character like Spielberg did, who projected his own desire to spoil children). Real pity they could only tiptoe up to the notion of animal rights, but I have a sneaking suspicion these writers are trained to space out their material (inevitable future franchise installments have to be about something, after all); zoological-industrial complex to be discussed in Jurassic Universe.
