weird to make this instead of what sounds like a really cool sci-fi story. didn’t love it but also didn’t hate it. feels like the only way to read this is that he just wrote a play about three guys who get drunk at a bar all day—where they complain about how there’s nothing good on TV anymore and wish that there was a magic room in “Wish World” where all your wildest dreams come true—until one of their wives finds them at the bar and is like “please come home we have a child.” Also, crazy that Chernobyl happened after this movie and not before.

train/helicopter heist was very cool. clear why adding Tom Cruise and Mission:Impossible music to a sequence like that would turn it into a multi-gazillion dollar franchise

A hidden gem of the early 50s. James Stewart has an imaginary invisible friend that is a six-foot tall white rabbit-man named Harvey, and everyone wants to put him in the looney bin despite the fact that he’s the kindest man alive and also Harvey is actually real.

One of the best lines is when a doctor leaving the mental hospital says, “I’m gonna miss these psychos and schizos.”
