    It's probably been about 20 years since I've last watched ST: GEN... I recall liking it as a kid and enjoying the very fanfiction-y conceit of having Captains Kirk and Picard teaming up. Plus seeing the Enterprise crash land was pretty jaw dropping at the time.     I dug the Backdrop of Japan, I enjoyed seeing our protagonist get more and more beat up as the flick progressed, and I was into her obsession for a particular junk food beverage called "Boon Boon Lemon" or something like that. But I especially dug that the movie actually just ENDED. No overly clever reversal, no hints at a franchise, or anything like that. A nice and clean finale. It's the little things, ya know?
