    It tells you that it can't be as good as the original, and it's right, Scream is lightning in a bottle. But I've always god damn loved Scream 2. It has a few points against it...no Matthew Lillard, or at least nobody as weird and compelling. The new characters are simply not as memorable here, though they aren't awful or anything. And the first time you're presented with something will always be the most exciting.

    I love Scream. I think this movie is an excellent display of tone balancing, something I don't seem to care about as much as others, but look to this for a shining example.
