    Watch this if you want your eyes opened, your mind refreshed, your curiosity piqued, your biophilia animated, your sympathy tugged at, your disgust inflamed, the sweep of your attention fully engaged or if you're quite simply high.

    It is so soul-soothingly edifying.

    It is bizarre to see an inhumanly noble, incidentally wise Dumbledore being a money-minded, rude, snobbish, dark-haired, promiscuous, beardless, dog-absorbed sleaze.

    (Moreover, his being murdered here was far less sensational and sympathy-triggering than his death in HP. I say that with disenchantment and mild spite because A) there was quite a long build-up to the act itself and B) the machination of the murder, I feel, didn't quite reflect the degree of disgruntlement he apparently evoked in those around him, although I will begrudgingly admit that being killed twice does indeed say something on that score.)

    It's useful that I had read the book just before watching the movie so comparisons can be made with a fresher memory.

    I had imagined Dr. Jekyll to be a lot kinder in manner than how he was portrayed in the film, although I will say that Mr. Hyde was, for the most part, accurately represented (dark hair, deceptively dangerous facial expressions, carefree attitude, etc.).
