    Very disappointed by this. A modern take on the Ray Bradbury classic and from HBO Films? I had hoped we might finally see a solid adaptation of the book but the film muddies the waters too much and plays it’s themes too on the nose.

    Horror anthologies are always hard to assign an overall rating. I am a big fan of them despite the fact that every anthology EVER seems to consist of a few misses, a hit or two and ultimately leaves me feeling indifferent. In this case I rather enjoyed 3 of the 4 shorts but even at that found myself saying, "I don't know how I feel about that" after nearly every one.

    So, they added a rather long intro with no basis on the book, all new stuff. I was aware of that going in. Conceptually it makes sense. There is not enough material in the book to fill out a feature film AND Barbara is important to the story but isn't really featured much in the book.
