John Wick: Chapter 4 2023
This franchise started with John Wick's dog being killed. That was the excuse used to kick it off. They were playing with the typical dead wife backstory, and they mercifully did not subject us to it. Why? Because they knew it was just an excuse to do cool things.
They still do really cool things, but they forgot it was an excuse.

Paper Sisters 2023
Sometimes the gap between the description and content of a short film is big enough to squeeze a laugh through. These would be striking pieces in a gallery. Their assembly in stop motion as well would be compelling. In the current state, they are just photos with pans, zooms, and fades. It's a PowerPoint.
