Saw this movie only because my dad wanted to see it. It really surprised me that I even wanted to watch this movie. There’s not really much to say except that this is the typical “ two people don’t get along so they have a series of pranks performed against each other“ kids movie. There are maybe one or two chuckles that I gave throughout the entire movie but this is just flat out nonsense. I don’t even think this should be something the kids to watch because it’s really a bag of nothing.
I never understood the appeal of Woody Allen. Is it the neurotic energy he fills in his scripts that make it humorous? Or casting beautiful women opposite of him that makes it seem like a dream? What makes Allen such a strong figure in film?
I finally checked out the classic romantic comedy, the winner of the 1978 Best Picture at the Academy Awards, to begin plugging some holes in my movie-watching experience. There is a lot to like in…
