It’s pretty mediocre outside of the incredible cinematography and performance from Bautista. Solaris 2002
That has got to be one of the best musical scores I've ever heard.
It ultimately becomes a film about memories and one that visually conveys how our grief manipulates our memories and our perception of others. Bit shocked that there are people trying to call this film hollow, what it does with the ideas of grief is so brutally honest, terrifying, and yet completely unpretentious from Soderbergh's direction to never overstep and suggest an answer to these difficult situations (unlike the inferior film Ad Astra, which in many ways feels like a copy of this film).
