    I was this many years old when I saw my first Chaplin film.

    Hard to come up with something to say that has not already been said - it was great to finally see a full-length feature (for its time) of Charlie Chaplin's iconic Tramp character, to understand what all the fuss was about. His expressions are great, and the slapstick comedy is clever and amusing. All the roles were very clear for the narrative, and it was fun to see the beginning of some effects like the tilting and rain. My only clear criticism would be that it ended rather abruptly.

    I've managed to get my hands on several films between 1900-1950, and have made it a bit of a goal that before November I would try and watch things that were older rather than newer. (This was instigated one evening when scrolling through Netflix I found that I had watched 95% of films listed under the "Blockbuster" heading.
