reminds me of Little Miss Sunshine quite a bit. there's diverse characters, different problems they face, but they still compliment each other well, even amidst different moments (often awkward) between them that are resolved. it's fun and has its moments, but it's even able to give different lessons about life and family and stuff. i also really liked the ending.

i'm in so much disbelief by this.

this ending to the series revealed different things that feel a bit off and hard to accept, but it's something i can appreciate a lot. i appreciate the slow pacing that really emphasizes the emotional aspect, the two different time periods with different people that this takes place between, and the allusions to the past shown in the series. this was filled with different tragedies, but they connect well and are part of what still makes this a beautiful ending.

also why is the backdrop for this so low quality jesus christ

extremely touching. absolutely fascinating to see different memories coming together. at first it's confusing, but later you get a better understanding of it and realize the order things take place, and eventually it makes more sense and things go full circle. though i feel the 'erasers' interrupted the mood (makes sense why) and made things a bit awkward at points, you still had Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet on the contrary with such pure performances.

i feel this film can switch between its humorous and serious moments so well. plot was simple at first, but it really branches out into different problems the characters face on their own. despite the characters being different, they compliment one another so well (literally and not literally). some of the ending was awkward but i can appreciate it altogether, this film about accepting what goes your way and being proud of your effort.
