There seems to have been, in recent years, an influx of reboot-sequels (the terms have now really become synonymous with one-another, we should find a new term and combines the two) of classic films which hold a cult status and a large following, which act less as actual sequels and more like a tribute, or even love letter, to the original film the creators clearly hold dear to their hearts.

For me, Doctor Sleep, Mary Poppins Returns, Star Wars: The…

I haven't stopped listening to the soundtrack, and now I'm watching it for the third time since it's release. I can't stop. Bo Burnham has managed to capture something within this special that hits me in a different way. Burnham's ability to turn the normal and every day into a song intended to make you simultaneously laugh, cry, and question everything you know is something I feel so incredibly pulled towards, how I've managed…

I think what makes Tick, Tick... Boom! work so well as a movie musical where so many fail to do so these days, is the fact it's made so lovingly by people from the theatre. Of course you have Lin-Manuel Miranda directing, but you have a cast full to the brim of Broadway actors, and it all comes together not only as a celebration of Jonathan Larson's theatre career, but also as a celebration of Broadway and musical theatre as…

Easily the most creative and outgoing thing Marvel has put out, the first five-to-seven episodes especially. This series has given me an investment in the characters of Wanda and Vision which I didn't even know I needed from previous films.

There are some... Interesting choices made towards the end of the series, some stuff I didn't like - but nothing that really puts a damper on what is a solid, emotional and bittersweet conclusion to a brilliant, funny, and heart-warming series.

Definitely excited to see where the characters go from here, and how this will help shape the future of the MCU.

Somehow, magically, this movie happened. And it happened to me. I FELT this movie, from the get go, it seemed like it was able to speak directly to me. I cannot express enough just how much I LOVED Yesterday.

It just ticked all the right boxes for me, I've not felt THIS content after watching a film all year long, and it's been filled with absolute bangers. But this one? This one wins it for me. Hands down. Wow. Can't…
