Contains mild peril.

Rated four stars for the cracking first half. I feel the film loses its way, and by extension its intensity, in the second half as Anna tries to interview her school classmates. A solid debut feature though in every other sense.

Quite frankly insane.

The Good: David Harbour as Hellboy. Honourable mention for Thomas Haden Church as Lobster Johnson (Guten Tag!)
The Bad: The script
The Ugly: Daniel Dae Kim's English accent.

If the camera was any closer to the actor’s faces, it would become an episode of Peep Show.
In other words, it’s all about the performances and there’s nowhere to hide. And it’s all the better for it.
