Glad to say this holds up. Next watch will be on blu-ray.
I haven't revisited this in some time, since its Oscar night, why not. This really hasn't lost a beat for me. I'm a 90s kid and this is pure 90s to its absolute core, but Damon and Williams' performance are out of this world. Doubly hard to watch Williams knowing that some of the stuff he's saying probably was real for him. At times it can be tough to hold back the tears, but I would watch this film again tomorrow without hesitation. Great work all around.
The trailer for this looked amusing and I like Casper Van Dien, so why not? Overall it was funny enough to be worth a watch, but the tone was unbalanced. When the guys are separated for the second act, it loses a lot of the funny that was making it work. When they reunite in the third act it gets funny again. Make a sequel where they're together the whole film, and I'm in.
