I’ve been struggling with what to write about this one. I really liked it but at the same time acknowledge the problems it has. They should never have tried to redeem Dixon, he was a great villain and should have stayed that way.

Funny, creative and unlike anything else; no wonder this film is a classic. Many have tried, I’ve probably seen more of the films this one has influenced before now actually seeing the main player, but none were able to recreate the same feeling I had watching this one. It completely subverts all your expectations of a rom-com but creates such great characters with amazing chemistry that you’re just routing for their friendship to fail. Excellent.

This film was absolutely stunning and truly uses the full scope of the medium to tell a small and incredibly important snapshot from the life of Jackie Kennedy. The film is almost dreamlike, it cuts around from at least three different timelines, held together by a beautiful and haunting score that creates a sense of dysphoria, much like the mind state of Jackie herself, a woman who is simply trying to process a horrific experience which nobody around her wants…

I really love the premise and I enjoyed this film as a love letter to creativity and fandom. The emotional moments are there but they're in little pockets throughout the film, I personally wanted to go on a bit of ride with this film and didn't get that, something which stops me from rating this higher. That being said, it's one of those films I know is going to be a comfort for the foreseeable future.
