I don't know if it's good that a movie like this makes me so conflicted. On the one hand, I cannot help but cheer along this triumph of animation, plot and characterization be damned. On the other, that joyful performance comes at the expense of two of my most beloved characters in recent years. So even though I can watch this movie act, I cannot stand to hear it speak.
