I loved all of Robbie Ryan's gorgeous black and white cityscape shots. Seriously, I want that image of the airplane departing Los Angeles over the beach hanging on my wall. Speaking of shit for the time capsule - might as well throw Joaquin Phoenix and Woody Norman's performances in there too. Gaby Hoffman was great as well. BIG time uncle energy that hit this Funcle right in the fuckin' feels. Shoulda brought a hankie.

In “Silent Night” (now playing in limited theaters and available to stream exclusively on AMC+) it’s the end of the world as we know it and no one’s feeling fine nor are they simply havin’ a wonderful Christmastime.

Watching Scorsese fangurl over Spielberg is pretty much the most adorable thing ever.

This movie is fucking rad. The description of it being a combination of Halloween and The Terminator is apropos - throw in a dash of John Hughes' oeuvre, The Bourne Identity and Drive and you really get the idea. Dan Stevens is awesome in the titular role - he looks a bit like a young Michael Biehn and kills like Schwarzenegger. Director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett improve upon the already impressive game they displayed in You're Next. The Guest is a badass genre exercise with style to burn.
