    Trick 'r Treat

The unorthodox storytelling a near unconnected plot elements make this film feel like an lost mess. The entire picture feels like setup with no payoff. While the look, tone, and ideas are all there and good it never really comes together. The only reason why this movie is still relevant is due to the terrific design and puppetry of Sam. Otherwise, it would have been forgotten to time.

  • Halloween

Easily the best Halloween movie to date, following a lot of similar beats to the 78 classic, but pumping up the thrills, kills, and suspense. They turned Laurie Stode into a undeniable badass and introduced the best movie character of all time in the little black kid, Julian. The suspense is killer and the cinematography is so delicately crafted. A modern horror masterpiece.

DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD MOVIE. As an objective price of art, this is definitely worse than the original Halloween. As a dumb party experience to watch with some buddies and laugh at, a great time. Take with that what you will.

  • Venom

This is my kind of "so bad it's good movie." Every flaw in this picture only functions at making the thing more entertaining. It feels like to plucked Venom from the 90's comics where he eats chocolate to curb his hunger for flash and threw him at dork who has never read a comic his life, in a world that is all too serious. I have no clue if any of the humor in this film was intentional, but I can't refute it's charm. 10 more of these please!
