  The feature debut of writer/director Charlotte Regan is a delightful coming of age tale, and newcomer Lola Campbell is magnificent. It's a gentle look at grief, friendship, and family. Not overwhelmingly special, but a lovely experience nonetheless.

  I didn't watch Carol with any expectations at all. Lesbian films tend to end with someone dying in various ways or the utter sadness of unnecessary heartbreak.
