This was technically well-made and entertaining to watch, and at 2 hours and a half never really boring, with the third part being the funniest, so a couple of points for that, but those are like the most superficial aspects of a work of art; nowadays even a half-way decent Marvel movie can fulfill those requirements (entertaining + technically well-made). Fire Walk with Me is one of the most visceral evocations of trauma and desolation ever. Miyazaki's awe-infused reverence and respect for childhood as something aching to sacred makes for a deeply humbling, morally edifying and emotionally purifying experience like few others in cinema. Animation in state of grace and a film that should be mandatory viewing for EVERY PARENT out there.
