Adam Sandler has been making some awesome films recently. This one was good, but just didnt really hit home as much as i would have liked
When I watched this film at the cinema, it had me up for nights. Completely traumatized me. Prisoners is an upsetting film. It's far fetched. I guess something like this could happen, but im going to guess not very often. While the plot is engaging, the real magic is how well the characters portrait the immense stress they are under, as well as fear.
I love this film. I am able to watch it with a degree of safety now…

Alright, so a woman fucks a mantoad (who is also a bit of a shit) who Michael Shannon is trying to kill, but her husband is pretty into it.
This was difficult to get through, just kept going on and on ramming the same shit in your face the whole time.
The film does look beautiful, its totally got that going for it. I guess this is how Guillermo del Toro makes his money so that he can pursue films he actually wants to make.
