Stalker ★★★★★

Basically Blade Runner, but way darker and WAY BETTER.
This is what I define sci-fi for grown-ups, when the fictional element is used as a McGuffin just to tell a mature story about life, the sense of it and the struggles of living, all explained during a journey to happines, to a room that should make true our deepest desires, but that in fact is an object of tought and reasoning, a tool to reach the knowledge about the meaning of life.
Except for the incredible, poetic, philosophycal and mind-bending script, that sticks in the mind of the viewer, the movie is, of course, looking at the director, perfectly shot, acted and crafted. The soundtrack is solid too, just like the concepts for the production design.
Talking about the ending, the Ode to Joy remained stuck in my mind, making one of the greatest closing scenes ever made, even if I didn't understand a shit.
This MUST be on your watchlist, and if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about
