Clue 1985
In my 1000th rewatch of this the best movie in the world I caught myself feeling contemplative; I pictured myself showing this to my future children. Would they understand the references to McCarthyism? Who would they appreciate more, the genius improvisations of Madeleine Kahn or the devilish wit of Tim Curry? I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
Not very fun to watch but i get the sense no one wants it to be. It’s fascinating and uncomfortable and brimming with interesting ideas. Thoroughbreds 2017
This is what I want from new movies. Exactly this. Make 100 more of these. It's short, the cinematography is GORGEOUS, it's funny, it's murdery, it's got beautiful rich people and their stuff, it's got sociopathy, it's got a weird off putting techno theme song, and it's got chapters like a book!
It's ok for dark, artistic movies to be fun. They don't all have to be a slog.

The Craft: Legacy 2020
Fun and fluffy! I didn't go in expecting the teeth of the original. I will say characters are not half as interesting, but then it's impossible to match Fairuza Balk.
