Wowow, I liked this the first time I saw it, but I got so much more out of it the second time. Shows the good and the bad with unflinching authenticity, and I still can’t believe it was the work of a first time feature director and first time actress.

So nice, I saw it twice. This time with friends!! Truly a blast.

If that book had been edition 28 instead of 29, I’d be spiraling even harder than I already am.

I was supposed to go to a queer women’s dance night tonight. Those plans fell through, though, and I was incredibly bummed, so I did the worst possible thing and watched this to torture myself instead. 0/10 do not recommend.

Sam Raimi said “I wanna make a freaky ‘little’ $200M horror movie with super heroes,” and I respect that!!

I’m seeing so many mid-to-bad reviews for this, but I really enjoyed it. If anything, I just wanted the horror and gore ratcheted up to 11. I know we’ll never get a fully unhinged MCU film, but it was an interesting glimpse of what could be.

Wanda, sweetie, I love you, and you’ve never done anything wrong in your life.

Rachel McAdams, thank you for taking this paycheck.

And the MID-CREDITS SCENE?! I’m shook.

Knew I was into this from the first few moments. More unhinged Laura Dern, please!!

Been meaning to watch this ever since I saw Laura Dern & Diane Ladd in conversation a few months ago. It was fascinating to watch them acting together, but I’m lukewarm on the movie as a whole. Just not entirely sure what it was trying to convey.

Predictable, tropey, etc., but it’s impossible to overstate the impact a movie like this could have had on me as a teen. Progress!

Not the most full or riveting doc, but it's worth the glimpse into an unseen part of the planet. Five new species!!

Nipples and butts and offensive stereotypes, oh my!

I kind of liked this one? It may have just been my mood today, but I wasn't as desperate for it to be over as I normally am. Pretty sure I'll actually remember these characters, which is so much more than can be said for a lot of entries. Cool sets, neat funhouse, decent action. And some camp, which is all I really want!

A certifiable Good Time At The Movies™️.

Everyone in my audience was on the same page by the second act and we were laughing and clapping along with the absurdity. Not to say there’s not some genuinely good filmmaking here, too (those drone shots?!). To top it all off, I was rather amused to exit the theater’s parking garage and drive off into the streets of DTLA after spending two hours there on the screen.
