I've finally realised a dream of mine: seeing this on the big screen. The way Kubrick wanted (apart from the restoration): dim lights for the first 2.46 minutes of black of the overture, the intermission titlework, "the end" titlework and the final "The Blue Danube".
The visceral and powerful visual impact of this film still leaves me speechless, just like the, by now textbook, match cut/transition "from bone to space station": all of our history happens in those ten seconds. Everything. It helps putting things in perspective.
Nothing compares to this film, nothing can.
I'm full of adrenaline, it's 4 in the morning and I can't sleep: this movie drained me. I'm physically and emotionally tired.
Ten years of the MCU were properly represented in this movie: it's a tribute to the character, to the stories and to us. Please, please, please do yourself a favour and don't search for the plot: this movie is a rollercoaster you have to experience firsthand.

Sound editing and mixing are superb, and so is Hans Zimmer's score: two hours of pure tension.
The continuous clock ticking was a genius move, it tied all together.

The best "war movie" to date, in my option, so polished and pretty, with a consistent and beautiful colour palette; can movies about the worst human invention be so aesthetically pleasing?
