Johann Rucker’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's insane how next level Queen of Earth is. Alex Ross Perry rises higher and higher in the ranks of young indie filmmakers and gains my respect and affinity to boot. Queen feels like a movie out of time, similar to how Brooklyn and The Immigrant both feel like relics of bygone eras. We don't get too many films in the vein of Queen of Earth anymore, and what Perry does with a simple setting and a spartan sense of design speaks highly of how real his characters are. Elizabeth Moss' Cat is an experience for the ages, she's on a totally different wavelength here.
