    astounded by how the transition to digital totally alters the fundamental fabric of mekas's work, so vividly exposing him for what he is: just a kindly old lithuanian man with a camera. unfortunately, i dont like it very much.

    what does this mean? does film automatically beautify in ways that require no artistic talent? or is there just a different touch required for digital that mekas never quite mastered?
