Aaron King’s review published on Letterboxd:
Robert Eggers does existential comedy horror in a commercial film that I’m afraid most wont get or like. It has so many comedic scenes that I was not expecting to laugh. It was very evocative and erotic at times that there is little to insinuate. Robert Pattinson certainly delivers a best yet performance and Defoe delivers his typical great performances that are oscar worthy. I hope the cinematography gets award recognition because it’s top of the tops. A true art house film. Eggers does love his birds eating human flesh.
