Aaron White’s review published on Letterboxd:
2.5-hour reminder that Tom Holland can fucking act.
Beyond that, it's not great. The stylistic choices by the Russo Bros give this a weird sense of tonal whiplash throughout. They say it's about the opioid epidemic but has nothing profound to say about that. Supporting performances are... meh. And it feels every bit two and a half hours long, as it tries to be an epic of sorts. It's a mess.
All that said, I enjoyed Holland's performance and authenticity of the military section of the film somewhat. The latter may come off to viewers as extremely immature, but hey, that's reality. Definitely not a film I'd go to bat for, but one that I didn't mind seeing once.
