All That Heaven Allows ★★★★½

No more running away

I'm an idiot. Reading this as a metaphor for repressed homosexuality, a vibrant technicolor expression of feelings that must go unspoken and love that must be bottled up, makes All That Heaven Allows all the more impressive sixty-two years on.

Loved this the first time. Now one of my all-time favorites.

A 4.5/5.
