Aaron Hendrix’s review published on Letterboxd:
My son, remember me in your stories and in your songs. Know that I will love you always.
Growing up, my father would sing me Irish lullabies as I drifted off to sleep. I don't think I've had a movie drain my tear ducts this thoroughly since Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Though Song of the Sea is an extraordinary film for a plethora of reasons, the potent emotions that it tapped into were a large part of what made this movie so powerful for me. Yet, I can't imagine this tenderly animated and powerfully written fairy tale not touching everyone in some way or another.
