  pretty crazy that i downloaded this to watch the day before daniel johnston’s death, now was as good a time as ever to watch it.

  daniel johnston has been a big musical influence for me, his ability to disregard his extreme limitations and continue to create beautiful songs from the most horrible of situations is so inspiring and endearing. this documentary opened my eyes to how pure, troubled, and great this man was.
