I can't think of anything else to describe this movie as lovely. Gorgeous looking period piece with great costuming and set design. Simple but strong storytelling guides the viewer through the plot and themes. And even though I was silently yelling at Jenny to get out of the situation throughout watching, it was pretty engaging nonetheless. This wouldn't work without a great lead performance and Carey Mulligan was just that. Properly Elated, downcast and everything in between at the right points, she expertly embodied Jenny to me. This is more like a 3.5 movie to me but Carey Mulligan was so wonderful that it gets that extra half star to me.
