Idk man, visually and technically it was stunning. And it did make me laugh, in fact the rocks had me crying. But some of the jokes felt kind of cheap, very Family Guy-core with the puke and the dildo skits. I understood the message but it all felt a little underwhelming at the end. Joy was cool asf tho. Felt like her being a lesbian was kinda just a narrative device just to drive a wedge between her and her family, but on the other hand it’s always cool to see LGBTQ+ representation in films.
