    Leave No Trace

🎥 Leave No Trace. - 2018. Director - Debra Granik.

    The Good:
✔ Social expectations vs personal choices. 'Leave No Trace' asks some interesting questions about adhering to social constructs. I for one don't see a problem with someone choosing to live off grid. In fact - I admire that thrive for independence.
✔ Triple threat. A father's paranoia, society's responsibility to help, and the elements all combine to threaten the well being of a father and daughter who…

    Eyes Wide Shut

🎥 Eyes Wide Shut - 1999. Director - Stanley Kubrick.

    The Good:
✔ Mystery. Like other Kubrick features, 'Eyes Wide Shut' is a puzzle. The secret world that unfolds is both mysterious and menacing.
✔ Chemistry. While the Cruise/Kidman combo expired in real life, you can certainly feel the connection between the two. In such intimate roles, I think the fact that they were really together helps the film feel authentic.

    The Bad:
    ❌ Nicole Kidman. She is…

    The Professor and the Madman

🎥 The Proffesor And The Madman - 2019. Director - Farhad Safinia.

    The Good:
✔ Sean Penn. When I heard that Penn played the titular mad man, I was convinced that Gibson would be better suited to that role. I was mistaken. He is fantastic as a troubled individual with a remarkable mind.
✔ The story. I've never once thought about the origin of the dictionary. So glad there is a film about the birth of the book of…

    📺 Chernobyl - 2019. Director - Johan Renck.

I haven't reviewed a television show before. Film will always be my first love, but in a time where great TV is more accessible than ever, I feel I should dabble in series reviewing.
What better place to start than HBO's instant masterpiece 'Chernobyl'. If you are wondering if the show is deserving of the hype - it absolutely, undoubtedly is. The marketing team at HBO and Now TV deserve insane…
