Aloners 2021
It was alright. Thematically it does almost everything I was predicting except that neatly wrapped ending, that unfortunately din do enough for me. Loved the training part, the interactions with people she wanna get detached from. But it never got to that next level past what it already conveyed. Instead it meandered a little too much without filling it in with more to chew on that a better film on the sane theme could do or has done before. A tough sit through, not good enough to warrant a rewatch. 3.5 for the beautiful time travel conversation that will stay with me forever.

Speak No Evil 2022
The payoff is way more shocking than expected, the message is pretty clear. Sometimes we let ourselves into trouble by being too polite in front of strangers. The biggest horror isn’t in paranormal or monsters, it lies within human unsure of how their reaction or behavior is perceived by a stranger. Highly inspired by Funny Games, Get out and The Vanishing. This psychological horror grabbed me by the tongue and never let go before tje end credit rolled leaving me traumatised. One of the most disturbing films from last couple of years, a surety in earning cult status among the fans of this genre.
