    Hocus Pocus

having not grown up with this film, here are my thoughts:

    - they are CONSTANTLY SCREAMING in this horny, horny movie.
    - as any visitor to salem will tell you, salem village was located in modern-day danvers.
    - furthermore, idk what private bus line that bus driver belongs to but you'd never find an mbta driver flirting like that.
    - what kind of long-lasting lipstick does dani have on

    Pikachu, What's This Key?

Klefki, a "new friend," leads unsuspecting Pikachu and co. into the multiverse.

A thought: Did mythical Pokemon adapt to live in the environments of their respective worlds, or did the worlds evolve around them

Cried: 15 minutes in, to Klefki's plaintive cries

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

as a kid, this was THE scariest movie. i never watched it---i was a kid. anyway i'm watching it now and it's fine

this is a movie about a divorcee who ignores her kid as she crams an entire research project into a week

spoilers a horse dies so maybe this is what my brother was protecting me from

  • A Summer at Grandpa's

    A Summer at Grandpa's

oh,to be a sullen-faced baby sister wreaking havoc on her older brother's friends.

i expected throughout for some horrible thing to destroy this childhood reverie, but the worst of it remains shielded by the kids' blissful ignorance. watching from around corners, from windows, shooed away by grandma, the kidlets can't delve deeper even if they tried.

    very, very sweet and good.

i watched this in the bathtub my senior year of college in the midst of a quarter-life crisis/my first real break-up (and even documented in a comic)

    and my god

i thought the poetry was supposed to be bad, but apparently they are supposed to be two geniuses trapped in the throes of normal, poor, 9-5 life. meanwhile, writing shitty poetry while also living your boring everyday life, a reality i have lived and witnessed here in our local poetry…
