Wonderfully surreal and dark comedy with a superb cast.
More gorgeous than George with CGI that pulls off the far-from-small feat of actually looking real. A thoroughly beautiful film carried by Sandra Bullock's gripping performance as we watch her suffer setback after setback. Her character may hate space but the role offers her a very good chance to pick up another Oscar. Bookends.
Speaking of those awards, it should be a shoe-in for winning the technical ones and perhaps director too with Alfonso Cuarón managing to weave a gripping thriller without any slack nor miss-calculations.
I only wish I had seen it in IMAX.
