Zach Rayman’s review published on Letterboxd :
The Raid features some of, if not possibly THE best fight scenes ever put to film. The action is fast and fluid and feels incredibly raw and savage all at the same time. The choreography is astounding.
Mike Shinoda does a good job with the music, which was a selling point to me because of how much I love Linkin Park. The performances are great as well, allowing the dramatic scenes to really shine whenever there's a break from the action.
I did however find the first half hour of the movie to be weaker than the rest of it, the action is good, but there was a lack of emotional investment for me early on. Once the plot twist occurs however, I felt way more invested and all of the pieces really fit together for me.
